Sometimes at the Photography club, we have a model turn up and she's so perfect at what she does, so professional and switched on, that it's hard to believe she isn't in newsstand magazines.

Shirley is one such lady.  A good looking woman, very comfortable with herself, nudity and other people and she knows exactly how to move to make her curves come alive.

She's a beautiful woman in every sense of the word - she's attractive, she's funny, she loves me - and I often rope her in to little model shoots when I get the inclination.  Thankfully for me, she's amenable to my inclinations (wahey!), so here's a celebration of my beautiful, gorgeous girlfriend!

Sometimes, as much as you can play photographs and play with the composition, the best shots are actually the ones you take without thinking about, snatched moments of time that are so utterly natural - pose, position, expression - that you just couldn't replicate them.

Carole at the photography group

Last Wednesday, we had another new model at the Photography Group and she was lovely - professional, funny, comfortable with us and herself, it was a great session.  As we were talking in the kitchenette beforehand, I asked if I could take some test shots and she agreed.

More of my ex-wife

For some reason, this past week or so, I keep thinking about my ex-wife.  I don't know why, though it's not entirely unpleasant, so I fished out some old pictures of her.  And here they are...

This was taken early in 1993, we were living in what could be perhaps most romantically described as student accomodation.

June - shoot for a friend

I got to know June through the Photography Group - she often helps out Andy (the group leader) with booking the girls and the studio space, making sure everyone's comfortable, just keeping the wheels greased.

We've been talking for a while about her ambitions - she doesn't want to be a photographer but would like to do some behind-the-scenes work.  I told her that she looked gorgeous and should be in front of the camera and that led to several months of banter - she said she wasn't, I maintained she was.

To end it all, I suggested I give her an early Christmas present and take a set with her, at her pace and only with poses she felt comfortable with.  And this is it.  We shot it at her flat, her partner watched and offered advice (and made lovely tea) and it was one of the best half-hour shoots I've ever experienced.

So here she is, June from the Photography Group, I hope you think she's as pretty as I do!

Photo-shoot with Carol

After a visit to the Photography Club, I struck up a bit of a rapport with Carol and when she asked me to take some pictures for her portfolio (she's planning to become a burlesque dancer) I readily agreed.

Great young lady, who knows what she wants and is very comfortable in her body, this was a wonderful shoot and I hope she achieves her dream.
